He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl C Palermo and Rose Palermo (Angelo); and his sibling Russell R. Palermo (Alice). He is survived by : his wife Dr. Carol L. Guarnieri-Palermo; his children, Robert James, Jr., Michael Joseph and Gina Rose Palermo-Werkheiser; his brother Carl T. Palermo; his brother-in-law Harry L. Bender (late Rosallie); and his niece Irene DeMartin Paula Palermo (Michael).
