He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Edith; his son Robert Lloyd Johnson; his parents, Gustav Johnson and Sara Johnson; and his siblings, John, Mary, Bill, Roy, Ruth, Eleanor and Josie.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Young and Kristen (Jeff Alexander); his grandson Will Ball (Charlotte); his great grandchildren, Jack and Oliver; his brother Charles (Sylvia); his siblings-in-law, Joan (Bill) and Jerry (Karen); his grandchildren, Stacey and Ben Snyder; and his great grandchildren, Andrew, Obi and Caleb. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
