He was predeceased by: his wife Dolores A.; his son-in-law Scott Matthews; and his brother Ken Kaphan. He is survived by: his children, Robert J. Kaphan (Dale), Anthony M. Kaphan (Lisa), Maggie Matthews and Lawrence Kaphan (Carolyn). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
