It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jahar Rakhit in Hackettstown, New Jersey, who passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Jahar had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Jahar may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Upendra Chandra Rakhit and Charulata Rakhit (Ball). He is survived by: his wife Keya Rakhit (Neogy); his children, Shimontini Rakhit (Asad Jaferi) and Shayan Rakhit; his grandchildren, Laya and Adam Jaferi; and his brother Santosh Rakhit. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the William J. Leber Funeral Home (15 Furnace Rd, Chester, NJ 07930). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 5:30 PM.
