She was predeceased by: her father Andy Check; her son Glen Alan Summerville; and her brothers, David, Buddy and Fred Check.

She is survived by: her husband Walter Lee Summerville; her children, Julie Tessitore, Karen Smith (Brendon) and David Summerville; her siblings, Dan Check (Margie), Richard Check (Margie) and Kathleen Check; her sister-in-law Rose Check; her grandchildren, Jeremy Brown, Justin Folsom (Amy Bolt), Anthony Summerville (Sarah Shaffer), Angelina Smith, Hope Smith and Faith Smith; and her great grandchildren, Lilly, Luna and Caroline. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
