He was predeceased by: his parents, Josep Uiga and Adele Uiga (Sabbi); his wife Elise Uiga (Miitra); and his daughter Ann Uiga Varnik. He is survived by: his sons, Henry Uiga (Charlene) and Ants Uiga (Marsha); and his grandchildren, Linda Hughes, Eve Laeger (Herb), Karin, Karl, Kristjan, Andrea, Daniel, Brian and Colleen.
