She was predeceased by: her parents, C. Russell Canfield and Edith Stritter Canfield; her former husband William Thomas Doherty, MD; and her brother David Canfield. She is survived by: her husband Edgar Pittenger; her children, Deborah Nazario (Don), Brian Doherty (Katherine), Peggy DeLong (John) and David Doherty (Leslie); her stepchildren, Gail Pittenger and Sharon Gilbert (Dan); her grandchildren, Aeddan, Celina, Carly, Jason, Thomas, Morgan, Jamie, Rhiana, Emily, Katelyn, Leah, Aubrie and Reagan; her siblings, Ernest Canfield (MaryAnn) and Harriet Richmond (Wayne); and her nieces and nephews, Kathy, Carol, Russell, Tammy and Sarah.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity United Methodist Church (213 Main St, Hackettstown, NJ 07840).
