With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol Strauss (Hackettstown, New Jersey), born in Jersey City, New Jersey, who passed away on April 19, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Carol may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Carol touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Romaniak and Mary Romaniak (Swollow). She is survived by: her husband Dewey Strauss; her son Kenneth Strauss; her sister Joan Beck (William); and her grandchildren, Michael Strauss and Cassidy Strauss.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home (905 High St, Hackettstown, NJ 07840). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at the Pequest Union Cemetery (30 Cemetery Rd, Great Meadows, NJ 07838).
