He was predeceased by: his parents, Giuseppe Candela and Vincenza Candela; and his sibling Rosario Candela (Michelina). He is survived by: his children, Joseph, Vincenza and Anthony Mario Candela; his siblings, Nicolo Candela (Gina), Calogero Candela (Maddalena), Anna Petersen (Lawrence), Salvatore Candela and Antonio Candela (Natalie); and his former wife Angela Marie Candela. He is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 8:45 AM at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home (397 Union St, Hackensack, NJ 07601). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis R. C. Church (50 Lodi St, Hackensack, NJ 07601).
