He is survived by: his wife Nydia Rosa Gonzalez; his children, Hilton Gonzalez (Evelyn), Sandra Florencio, Nayda Rawls, Nydia Gonzalez, Hershel IV, Brittani, Veronica, Shane, Desiree, Ely Jr., Gabrielle, Jayson and Cristian; his great grandchildren, Jordan, Hershel, Skyler and Javier; and his sisters, Ana, Rego, Haydee Melendez and Gloria Gonzalez. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
