Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Amanda Thompson of Hackensack, New Jersey, who passed away at the age of 79, on February 14, 2025. As Amanda departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Amanda may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Amanda leaves behind.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Russo and Florence Russo (Wyman); and her husband Virgil Thompson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vander Plaat Colonial Home (13-31 Saddle River Rd, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, Inc (13 Saddle River #31, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410).
