She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Elizabeth McKernan and Raymond McAteer; her daughter Mary Lavin; her sister Ann Owens; and her aunts and uncles, Kay Ann Ferry (late Jimm), Geraldine Willis (late Joe), Patricia Cunningham (late John), William McKernan (late Betty) and Dennis McKernan (Betty).
She is survived by: her children, Stephen Couris, Matthew Lavin (Jacqueline) and April Lavin; her sister Kathy Forbes (Steve); her aunt Peggy Bangle (Gene); her grandchildren, Richard Cooper, Matthew Lavin, Terrance Thomas II, Noah Thomas, Anson Lavin, Lincoln "Lightning" Lavin and Jonathan Cayer; and her great grandchild Terrance Thomas, III. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
