He was predeceased by: his parents, John Brooks and Myrtle Brooks; his wife Ruth Brooks; and his siblings, Phillip, Clarence, Gilbert, William, Louise, Elva, Edna and Margaret.

He is survived by: his daughters, Eleanor and Diana Aber (John); his siblings, Harold, Helen, Elizabeth and Dwayne; and also Bonnie. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
