He is survived by: his wife Karen Spencer; his children, Megan Spencer (Vidal Sr.), Sierra Hill, James D. Spencer, III and Dominic Spencer; his parents, James D. Spencer, Sr. and Lucetta "Sue" Spencer; his sister Lynda M. Spencer; his grandchildren, Vidal, Jr. and Ivan; and his grandmother Lucetta Zee. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
