She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph W. Dowling; and her grandson James Brophy. She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Decker, Joseph Dowling, Jr., Kenneth Dowling (Deidre), Marie O'Neill (Brian), Doris Brophy, Joan Timoldi and John Dowling (Terry). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Claire's Monastery, 920 Centre Street, Jamaica Plains, MA 02130, would be appreciated.
