He was predeceased by: his father Harold McConnell. He is survived by: his wife Edith "Edie" McConnell; his sons, Gregory A. McConnell Jr. (Suzan Krainatz), Jon McConnell (Jennifer) and Christopher McConnell; and his siblings, Rebecca Simanski (Blair), Jeff (Laura) and Mark McConnell (Jill).

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Greg's name to the Mansfield Township Fire Company No. 1.
