He was predeceased by: his father James Van Doren. He is survived by: his mother Lillian Mearns DeHart; his wife Donna; his children, John M. Jr. (Melissa) and Meghan DeHart-Brown (Joshua); his brothers, James (Pat) and Daniel (Sharon); and his grandchildren, Emily Elizabeth, Joshua, Jr., Gabriel, Elias and Gwendolyn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
