He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Zimmerman and Myrtle Zimmerman of Gladstone; his wife Kathryn; his brother George; and his sons, Paul Zimmerman and Andrew Zimmerman.
He is survived by: his children, Scottish, Joan Madsen (Jim), Peter Zimmerman (Heidi), Suzanne Alton (Tom), Carol Zimmerman and Philip Zimmerman; and his grandchildren, Kathryn Dokson, Kerri Starkey, Kristi Alton, Nick Alton, Melissa Madsen, Katrina Zimmerman, Ben Madsen, Abby Masden, Jacob Zimmerman, Max Dokson, Colin Dokson, Alex Dokson, Jackson Alton and Nicholas Alton.
