He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Smith; and his siblings, Frank Smith, Denny Meyers and Anne Marie Melough. He is survived by: his children, Dori DiMassimo (Phil), Dr. Beth Merryfield (William) and Ellen Hearon; his grandchildren, Riley Hearon, Grace DiMassimo, Jane DiMassimo and Ella Rose Merryfield; his siblings, David Smith (Kay), Joe Smith (Linda) and Pat Foley (Joe); and his parents-in-law, Charles McBride, Judy McBride, Peggy, Bob Goulet, Anne, Kevin McMullan, Maureen, Joe Gallagher, Jean Smith and Charles Melough.
