She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Mel; her parents, Margaret Trotter and Daniel Trotter; and her brother Daniel Trotter. She is survived by: her siblings, Claire and Scott; her niece Patti; her great-nephew Matthew Hangliter; her great-niece Courtney; and also, Nic Wojtusik and Margot.
Respecting Val's wishes, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Franklin Institute, development department.
