He is survived by: his children, Mark Berle (Sara), Rachael Spivak Tummings (Andrew) and Eric Spivak (Nicole); his siblings, Doreen Barnes (Lee) and Doug Berle; and his grandchildren, Dylan, Judah, Andrealle, Isabella and Kayleigh. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

“My name is Susan Berle and Mark was my brother-in-law. Even though Doug and I broke up Mark continued to be in my life until he passed. I can say numerous stories about him. That would just make you laugh until you cried. He was courageous, crazy and last, but not least heroic to his country, I truly loved him and really felt Such a loss when he passed. I’m glad I got to see him the last time David’s with the children and Doug. It was a nice memory and I’m smiling now… I hope you all find peace”
