He was predeceased by: his brother Salvatore; and his parents, Sylvester and Sarah. He is survived by: his family, Leanne Surma and Dorothy Scro; his daughters, Donna Scro Samori (John), Karen Scro-Mascari (Joseph), Kimberly Sokale (Evan) and Lauren Surma; his grandchildren, Vincent Mascari, Emma Gentile, Carlos Mascari, Olivia Sokale, Claire Samori, Sarah Gentile, Faith Mascari, Ella Sokale and John Richard Sokale; his sister Rosalyn Patire (Alan); his sister-in-law Bennie Ann Runo; his nieces, Sherry Peralta, Debra Montrose, Sara Lynn Morando, Kaitlyn Urciuoli and Lauren Hughes; and his close friend Stella.
