She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Otto Sanchez; and her sister Stella Garrido. She is survived by: her children, Juan Carlos Sanchez, Felix Oswaldo Sanchez, Otto Yesyd Sanchez (Cheryl) and Nubia Marina Sanchez; her grandchildren, Mikhaila, Tyler, Amanda, Jacob and Justin; and her sisters, Maria Elena Cortes, Ines Posada and Cecilia Puerta.
