She was predeceased by: her parents, William Coyle and Clara Coyle; and her sisters, Sandra Wallace, Catherine Stepka and Elizabeth Gravatt.
She is survived by: her children, Trisha L. Van Riper (Jorge), Robert C. Van Riper, Jr. (Sharon) and Steven R. Van Riper (Michele); her former husband Robert C. Van Riper, Sr.; and her sisters, Gail Knoblock (Robert) and Lois Coyle (Robert). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
