He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his sons, Garfield Police Officer Glenn A. and Brandon Reno; his parents, Glenn Reno and Alyce Reno; his sister Alyce Insler; and his stepbrother Jesse Reno.

In lieu of flowers the family will accept memorial gifts for the American Lung Association.
