It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George M. Illenye of Garfield, New Jersey, born in Passaic, New Jersey, who passed away on February 27, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Illenye and Julia Illenye; his wife Winifred Illenye; his children, Shaun Illenye Sr. (Jessica) and Catherine Illenye (Peter McCormack); his grandson Shaun Illenye Jr.; his sisters, Judy Yarotsky and Georgianne Garowsky (Victor); his sisters-in-law, Linda Boardman and Christine Myers; and his nieces and nephews, John, Julie Yarotsky, Carey, Jennifer, Kristy Garowsky, Travis Cook, Erika Schmidt and Daniel Leaver. He was also cherished by his loving family and his many, many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory to the American Diabetes Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
