He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Cavaco and Mariana Cavaco; and his siblings, Manuel Cavaco and Lourdes Lorenco. He is survived by: his wife Rosa Donzilia Cavaco; his children, Donzilia Santos (Antonio), Fatima Matias (Carlos) and Eugene Cavaco (Anna); and his grandchildren, Carlos, Victoria, Daniel, Ryan, Sean, Elizabeth, Layla, Alayna and Liyana.

In lieu of flowers the family is accepting memorial gifts.
