Carmela Schreck Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carmela Schreck of Garfield, New Jersey, born in Manhattan, New York, who passed away on February 9, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid adieu to Carmela's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Carmela has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

She is survived by: her sons, Stephen Schreck of Keyport, NJ and Frederick P. Schreck of Nashville, TN.; and her grandchildren, Stevin, Ryan and Elsa. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kamienski Funeral Home of Garfield (207 Ray St, Garfield, NJ 07026). A burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the Calvary Cemetery (58 McLean Blvd, Paterson, NJ 07513).

Aside from the occasional ride to the doctor or grocery store, she never asked for or accepted charity, but was the first one to offer it to a loved one or neighbor.
