He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Taggart and Mary Taggart (Reino). He is survived by: his wife Julia Taggart (Maddelin); his daughters, Melissa Beaton (Scott) and Sarah Lahman (Shamus); his grandchildren, Cecelia and Jameson; and his brother Joseph Taggart (Linda). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.

A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption (146 S Pitney Rd, Galloway, NJ 08205).
