With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerhard Hjalmar Nilsen of Frenchtown, New Jersey, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on January 12, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hjalmar Nilsen and Gerda Nilsen; and his siblings, Herdis Olson, Dorothy Olsen and Sigurd (Andy).
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Nilsen (Olexa); his children, Gerhard Nilsen (Kathryn), Evan Nilsen and Beverly Klementowicz (Nicholas III); and his grandchildren, Nicholas Klementowicz IV, Kyle Nilsen, Emma Jacobson, Daniel Beja and Jessica Beja.
