He is survived by: his family Gettysburg; his wife Marian Sauter of Freehold Township; his children, Nicole Bulcroft (William) of Marlboro, Robert C. Sauter (Dominique) of Staten Island and Eric Sauter (Cindi) of Staten Island; his grandchildren, James, Andrew, Savannah, Ryan and George; and his sister Joanne Sauter (Raul Alboniga) of Staten Island.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105 and Tunnel to Towers, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
