In loving memory of John Joseph Givens (Freehold, New Jersey), born in Lincroft, New Jersey, who departed this world on January 18, 2025 at the age of 62. He was predeceased by: his father Cornelius Givens; and his brother Cornelius "Neil" Givens. He is survived by: his mother Joan Givens (Moran); his former spouse Terry; his daughter Julia; his son-in-law Dan O'Brien; his sisters, Ellen (Mike Gaynor), Maureen (Rick Lovato) and Tricia (Tony Camarata); and his godchildren, Jamie Gaynor, Connor Givens and Burton Lawson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Higgins Memorial (20 Center St, Freehold, NJ 07728). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Church (16 Mc Lean St, Freehold, NJ 07728).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the NJ Sharing Network, as John selflessly chose to be an organ donor.
