He was predeceased by: his sister Stacy Brown. He is survived by: his parents, Annie Billingsley and James D. Slaughter Jr.; the mother of his child Alyssa Murphy; his daughter Alyssa Murphy; and his siblings, Le'Roy Billingsley, Vernita King (Timothy), Sabrina Slaughter, Priscilia Slaughter, Melissa Rennie (Timothy), Daisy Billingsley, Kenny Brown, Keith Brown and Nora Slaughter.

He loved tutoring kids online and donated his services for over 20 years to assist other students.
