He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Reed and Mary Reed (Harris); his wife Carol Jean; and his siblings, Gloria Roberts and Ivan H. Reed.

He is survived by: his children, Thomas Edwin (Allison Reed), Martin Glenn (Susan Reed) and Mary Ann Bell Reed of Monroe Township; his grandchildren, Jack, Haidyn, Matthew and Chloe; and his sister Linda R. Chubb of Mechanicsburg, PA..
