He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles M. Johansen and Angelina Johansen; and his brother-in-law John D. Vega. He is survived by: his sister Jane Vega; his nieces, Donna Pollio (Stephen), Diana Marino (Charles) and Dina Spiess (Christopher); and his nephew Christopher Vega (Cheryl).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home (100 Elton-Adelphia Rd, Freehold Township, NJ 07728). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Co-Cathedral (61 Georgia Rd, Freehold Township, NJ 07728). A burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 12:45 PM at the Ocean View Cemetery (3315 Amboy Rd, Staten Island, NY 10306).
