She is survived by: her husband Virgilio Nieves; her children, Virgilio Nieves, Jr., David Nieves and Maria Ines Duran (Danny Duran); her stepson Robert Nieves; her grandchildren, David Nieves, Jr., Devin Duran, Yvelisse Nieves and Dalvin Duran; her great grandchild Andre E. Kelly, III; her stepgrandchildren, Ruben and Cynthia Nieves; and her siblings, Jose A. Barroso, Robert Barroso, Luz Toledo, Isabel Lopez, Virginia Barroso and Malta Ramirez.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Higgins Memorial (20 Center St, Freehold, NJ 07728). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at the Old Tennent Cemetery.
