He was predeceased by: his grandchild Morgan Gabrielle Thomas; his sister Cindy Lee Kier; and his parents, Edward Leon and Barbara Ann Kier, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Lynn Kier; his children, Melissa Marie Hughes, Jessica Ann Kier and Harley Danielle Kier; his siblings, Edward L. Kier, Jr. (Eileen) and Debbie Lynn Hornbach (Steve); and his aunt Donna Tessmer (Tom).
