He was predeceased by: his wife Anne "Annie Bones" Heibel; his son John Heibel; and his grandsons, John and Dante. He is survived by: his children, Joseph, Jr., Lori Hopkins (Jimmy), JoAnna Taraborelli (Tony), Sean Connor and James Connor; and his sister Cindy (Herb). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
