He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Mildred McLaughlin; his son Bruce William McLaughlin; his parents, Edward Forbes and Anna Margaret McLaughlin; and his siblings, Anna Starr (Edward), George McLaughlin (Elaine) and Elaine Ross (Ron).
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Edward McLaughlin (late Wendy) and Gary Robert McLaughlin (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Erin Zodda (Jason), Gary E. McLaughlin (Molly), Eric McLaughlin, Jessica Vasille (Bobby), Bryce McLaughlin and Jason McLaughlin; his great grandchildren, Michaela Zodda, Lochlan Zodda, Noah McLaughlin (Emma), Atticus McLaughlin, Cora McLaughlin, Everette Vasille, Adalaide Vasille and Lulu Vasille; and his sister Muriel Johnson (Virgil).
