He is survived by: his wife Penelope Mahlyn Burkey; his sons, Christopher Aubrey Burkey (Mallory) of Forest Lake, MN, Jeremy Isaac Burkey (Amber) of Williamstown, NJ and Nicolas Aaron Burkey (Amber) of Mullica Hill, NJ.; his grandchildren, Bane, Waden and Nora Burkey; and his siblings, Elaine Bunge and Ralph Burkey.
