He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen and Robert C. Shelton Sr.; his brothers, Edward J. Shelton, James E. Shelton and Peter W. Shelton; and his son Robert C. Shelton, III.
He is survived by: his children, Edward Shelton (Maria Nikolayew), Andrea Younkers (Richard), Mary Kelleher (Edward) and Katie Mull (Jake); and his grandchildren, Jennelle, Rob, Dan, Mindy, Robert, Rhyan, Devan, Jackie, Jocelyn and Kassandra.
