She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ellsworth Estell and Esther Estell; and her sons, Ralph Van Auken (Tracy), William Van Auken (Jayne) and Russell Hammell (Joyce). She was also cherished by niece and nephews, step-daughters and step-son, and grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
