He was predeceased by: his daughter Cheryl Niedzwiecki; his granddaughter Heather Garv Mittelstadt; his siblings, Ethel Paffenroth, Rose Zill, Alice Garris and John Christian; and his significant other Beatrice Kennedy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pamela Garv (Erik) of Lake Hopatcong and Kim Krieger (Mark) of Franklin; his sister Elizabeth Kolzinski; his son-in-law Gene Niedzwiecki; his grandchildren, Rick Garv (Kristy), Stephen Niedzwiecki, Jessica Krieger-Finamore (Louie) and Stacie Krieger; his great grandchildren, Sheridan Moore, Olivia Krieger, Erik J. Garv and Laci Finamore; and his daughters, Ann Marie McCarty (Bob) and Michele Bannat (Steve).
