She was predeceased by: her parents, John Christian and Mary Christian (Kara); her husbands, David L. Carlin and Rolland Pittenger; her sisters, Anne Geary and Margaret VanDerStad (Peggy); her siblings-in-law, Harry Geary, Edward Carlin, Douglas Kistle and Kitty Carlin; and her friend Joan Romaine.

She is survived by: her daughters, Judith Williams (Jim) and Lisa Wilmoth (Jay); her stepdaughter Cheryl Pittenger; her grandchildren, Laura Mihatov (Jesse), Jenna Houghtaling (Corey), Ashley Valone (Brian) and Emily Wilmoth; her brother Rev. John S. Christian of Dover; her siblings-in-law, Mary Kistle of Delaware and Edwin VanDerStad of Paramus; her great grandchildren, Andrew Michael and Lily Michaela Houghtaling; her nieces and nephews, George Geary, Patricia Jacobs, Gina Ehrenburg, Theresa Boylan, Karen Kistle, Douglas Kistle, Donna Latteri, Barbara Sartell, MaryAnn and John VanDerStad; her close friend Eleanor Chuka Witte; and also Bobby Pittenger.
