She was predeceased by: her father Earle F. Gilbert; her brother Douglas Gilbert; and her aunt Christine Selody. She is survived by: her mother Elsa Selody Gilbert; her son Douglas; her siblings, Nancy Gilbert, Cynthia and Richard Pappson; her niece Jessica Gilbert; her nephew David (Nina Hudson); her pet Chewbacca; and her friend Due. She is also survived by several great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and extended family.
