It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel O. Johnson of Franklin Park, New Jersey, born in New York, New York, who passed away on September 5, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Daniel leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Concetta; his wife Julie L. Johnson (Carlson); his children, Richard Garcia, Daniel Johnson, Chimene Johnson, Melissa Johnson and Aaron Johnson; his mother Bertha Johnson (Hunter); and his grandchildren, Denver Johnson and Arianna Johnson.
On September 11, 2001, in his role as Director of Operations Daniel served at ground zero first by helping them escape safely from the seventh tower and later directing the donation center on 46th Street and serving his fellow man at the Comfort Station at ground zero.
