He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert B. Carter and Katharine M. Carter. He is survived by: his wife Claire Carter (Mufson); his children, Joan (Ken), Douglas (Cathy), Robert (Patricia), Frederick (Kathy), Virginia (Paris) and Marilyn (Stan); and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Danielle, Brianna, Taylor, Robert, Dylan, Kristen, Justin, Talia, Alyssa and Timothy. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
