He was predeceased by: his spouse Marylyn Cakl. He is survived by: his children, Paul Cakl (Pearle) of Vernon and MaryAnn Cakl of Prospect Park; his grandchild Rachel Ann Cakl; and his significant other Grace Stevenson.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Otto's memory to Louis Bay II Library, 345 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne, NJ 07506.
