The memory of Joanne Mainardi (Franklin Lakes, New Jersey), who passed away on December 31, 2024 at the age of 83, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Jacobs and Adeline Jacobs; her husband Richard William Mainardi Sr. of Paterson, NJ.; and her sister Patricia. She is survived by: her children, Theresa Polansky (Glenn) of Ringwood, NJ, Cathy Sheffield (Mike) of South Hero, VT, Richard Mainardi Jr. (Bonnie) of Oakland, NJ and Diane Mainardi of Mahwah, NJ.; and her siblings, Peg Connolly, Sam Jacobs and Meg Carter. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial (530 High Mountain Rd, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Richard W. Mainardi Sr. Scholarship Fund (https://app.etapestry.com) at the Boys and Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic, or to St.Jude Children's Research Hospital.
