Allen Maietta Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 13, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Allen Maietta of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, born in Jersey City, New Jersey. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He is survived by: his close friend Rocket; his wife Katherine of Franklin Lakes; his children, Keith of Media, PA, Steven (Laura) of Park Ridge, Stephanie Gaddi (Peter) and Nicholas (Song-Mee) of Washington, DC.; his grandchildren, Kayla, Vincent, Peter James, Samuel, Patrick, Louisa and Leo; his brother Steven Maietta (Claudia) of East Hampton, NY; his niece Suzanne; and his nephew Patrick.

He was was so gifted that he was able to read between 5 and 7 newspapers a day ( making sure that you knew that 10 times a day) and still manufacture every item that we made himself. “I was a competitor to Al in the Industrial Diamond business. I had the opportunity to have Al and a mutual Customer at my house in the early 2000's in Fountain Hills, AZ after a round of golf. I enjoyed his company thoroughly and even though he may have taken golf up late, his game was stellar. I remember him hitting an errant tee shot onto an elevated rock formation. He climbed the rock, did a Spartan like yell down to us and promptly hit the errant shot onto the green and made par!!”
